Powerhouse tops a strong sale!

We would like to thank all the buyers and underbidders who supported our 12th On Property Sale! We were blown away by the result of A full clearance in very tough conditions country wide. We were proud of what we presented for the sale as they were some of the most even sale team we have presented!

2022 On property sale hits $15,000 and raises average.

The $15,000 top-priced lot, Dell 210549, and $9000 Dell 210141, with Dell African Dumisa stud's Andrea Vagg, Moama, auctioneer John Settree, Nutrien Stud Stock, Dubbo, and buyers Ben Crozier and fiancé, Nicol Wright, Wilcannia.

We were fortunate enough to miss the catastrophic floods, that spread across the Murray River Region by a week, with clients travelling from across the country to attend our 12^th annual on property sale. 

We had 118 rams and 51 ewes on offer, with the dorpers averaging $4432 reaching $15,000 for dorper ram LOT 28 Dell Dorpers 210549. The top priced dorper ewe was LOT 140 and sold for $4800.

The white dorpers averaged $4756, with the top price of $14,000 for white dorper ram LOT 12 Dumisa 210221. The white dorper ewes topped at $3600 for LOT 159 African 210975.

Duel National Top Price Rams!

We took a sale draft of 12 to the 2022 DSSA National Sale in Dubbo, returning with some great results.

• 4/4 Dorper rams sold to $25,000 with an average of $8,600.

Dell Dorpers 200037- A Stud Sire, used extensively, semen retained for export & own stud use. Grandsire is Dell Joelly and sire on dam side is a Dumisa Legend son of Dell BabyDoll III. Purchased by repeat clients Tom & Beck Palmer- Girrawhean Pastoral, IVANHOE NSW, for the duel top price $25,000.

• 4/4 White Dorper rams sold to $25,000, with an average of $12,150. Lot 65 Dumisa 65 sold for $15,000.

African 210498- A Stud Sire. Semen Retained for own stud use. Sired by Belowrie Bentley the 2020 Top priced White Dorper ram of $21000. Purchased by repeat clients Brad & Tanya Edson- Red Rock White Dorpers, COOMBE SA, for the duel top price $25,000.

• 4/4 Dorper ewes sold to $4,400, with an average of $3750.

Dell Dorpers 210058- Sired by Dumisa Legend a son of Dell Baby Doll III. SIL to Dell 'Superman' 200732 a C5T5 son of Dell Juggernaut. Purchased by repeat clients Tom & Beck Palmer- Girrawhean Pastoral, IVANHOE NSW, for the top price of $4400.00.

Taking a break   

After twelve years of showing we have decided to have a break from the showring for a couple of years. 2020 was a great year for us with many successes but we are looking forward to stepping back from showing for a time. We would like to thank all those who have supported us and continue to do so.

World Record Dorper Ram at $50,000 

Reserve senior champion of the 2020 Dorper National Show, sold for the world record Dorper ram price of $50,000 at Dubbo on Friday. Buyers Lance Reid and Grant Bredhauer of Darrawong Pastoral, Darrawong Station, Cunnumulla, Qld, were the buyers.

The ram, Dell Dorpers 190321 (ET), was sired by Burrawang Dorpers 140630 of pure Kaya blood and from one Dell stud's top breeding ewes, Dell 140076, the grand champion three years running of the Australian Sheep and Wool Show, Bendigo, Victoria, in 2015,16 and 17 and was the supreme cleanskin exhibit, the first Dorper sheep to gain this interbreed award in 2016.

This ram is one of seven ET lambs from this dam.

Rams in High Demand

All 106 rams sold for an overall sale average of $4054. In the sale breakdown, 79 Dorper rams sold to a top of $15,000 to average $4092 while 27 White Dorpers sold to a top of $6500 to average $3944.

The sale topper, Dell 190595, was purchased by Matt Wood, Khan Dorper stud, Goodooga, Cobar for $15,000.

The 15-month-old Doper ram weighed 99 kilograms and was sired by Dell Juggernaut 170743. He had a weaning weight of 45.5 kilograms, post weaning weight of 80.5 kilograms a fat score of six and an eye muscle depth (EMD) of 44.

The second top price ram, Dell 190213, a son of Dell Full Throttle 170388, was purchased by Benson Dorpers, Walcha for $8500.

Topping the White Dorper draft at $6500 was African 190185, purchased by Pa Larwood, Bunnerungie Station, Wentworth through the AuctionsPlus platform.

The 17-month-old weighed 93.5 kilograms and had a fat scored of six and an EMD of 47 have already been used within the Dell African Dumisa stud.

Second top price White Dorper was African 190091 and was purchased by Dustin and Lincoln Old, Bourke for $5000.

Inaugural Online Ewe Auction

All the ewes cleared in high demand on AuctionsPlus, all 60 ewes sold to a top of $4700 to average $1862.

In the breakdown 37 Dorpers sold to a top of $4700 to average $2178 and 23 White Dorpers topped at $2100 to average $1352.

The top price Dorper ewe was Dell 180981, a daughter of the popular Dell Jackpot 160906 sire, from the Dell Gloria line and was scanned in lamb to Dell Juggernaught 170743. She was purchased by Marcus Ryan, Amherst Dorpers, Amherest.

The second top price ewe was another Dorper ewe this time in Dell 181152, a Dell Jackpot 160906 daughter and was purchased by Matt Wood, Khan Dorper stud, Goodooga, for $4200.

Topping the White Dorper draft was Dumisa 190041, a triplet ewe scanned in lamb to Ediwanda 182521, purchased by David Piper, Dubbo for $2100.
